Warranty Policy
Warranty Policy
Last Updated: September, 2026
At RC ConTroll, we want you to enjoy your RC products with confidence.
This Warranty Policy explains what may be covered if your product develops a manufacturing-related issue and what types of damage are not considered manufacturing defects.
1. Warranty Coverage
Eligible products may be covered against defects in materials or workmanship under normal and intended use.
Warranty coverage may include issues such as:
- Product arrives defective
- Electronic components fail under normal use
- Remote controller or receiver has a confirmed manufacturing fault
- Motor, steering system, or drivetrain has a manufacturing-related defect
- Product is missing essential components
- Product does not function as intended due to a confirmed factory defect
Warranty duration and coverage may vary by product. Where a specific warranty period applies, it will be stated on the applicable product page or order information.
2. What Is Not Covered
Warranty coverage does not generally apply to damage caused by use, accidents, misuse, or normal wear.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Crashes or collisions
- Drops or impact damage
- Improper operation
- Abuse or neglect
- Excessive jumps or stunts
- Driving on unsuitable terrain
- Unauthorized modifications
- Improper repairs
- Use of incompatible parts
- Improper battery charging or storage
- Water or moisture damage beyond the product’s stated capabilities
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic scratches or body damage from use
Damage caused by operation is not considered a manufacturing defect.
3. Normal Wear & Tear
RC vehicles contain moving and consumable components that naturally wear over time.
Normal wear may include:
- Tires
- Gears
- Bearings
- Body shells
- Suspension components
- Drive shafts
- Bumpers
- Brake or friction components where applicable
Wear resulting from normal driving is not generally covered by warranty unless the issue is determined to result from a manufacturing defect.
4. Crash & Impact Damage
RC vehicles can travel at significant speeds and may be damaged during crashes or collisions.
Examples of impact-related damage include:
- Cracked body shells
- Broken suspension arms
- Bent drive components
- Damaged wheels
- Broken bumpers
- Stripped or damaged gears following an impact
- Chassis damage
These issues are generally considered user-caused damage rather than manufacturing defects.
If you’re unsure what caused the failure, contact us and our support team can review the issue.
5. Batteries & Charging
Rechargeable batteries require proper care and handling.
Battery damage caused by the following is generally not covered:
- Incorrect charging
- Using an incompatible charger
- Over-discharging
- Improper storage
- Excessive heat
- Water exposure
- Physical damage
- Modification
- Improper connection
- Failure to follow charging instructions
Normal reduction in battery capacity over time may also be considered normal wear rather than a defect.
If a battery arrives defective or shows an abnormal issue before normal use, please contact us.
Do not charge or use a battery that is swollen, punctured, leaking, excessively hot, or visibly damaged.
6. Water & Moisture Damage
A product described as water-resistant should not automatically be considered waterproof.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, avoid:
- Submerging the vehicle
- Driving through deep water
- Exposing electronics to heavy rain
- Cleaning electronic components with water
Water damage caused by use beyond the product’s stated resistance level may not be covered by warranty.
7. Modifications
Modifying an RC vehicle can change its performance, reliability, and safety.
Warranty coverage may be affected if a failure is caused by modifications such as:
- Motor upgrades
- Electronic speed controller changes
- Wiring modifications
- Unsupported battery upgrades
- Structural modifications
- Installation of incompatible parts
- Improper repairs
If you’re unsure whether a modification may affect your product, contact us before making the change.
8. Used Products
Using an RC product does not automatically eliminate warranty support for a genuine manufacturing defect.
However, a product that has been used, driven, assembled, modified, or shows signs of use is not eligible for a change-of-mind return simply because the customer no longer wants it.
Warranty claims and change-of-mind returns are handled separately.
For full return conditions, please review our Return & Refund Policy.
9. How to Submit a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect, please contact RC ConTroll Customer Support.
To help us review the issue, please provide:
- Order number
- Product / RC model name
- Description of the problem
- When the issue started
- Clear photos of the product
- A short video showing the problem, when possible
For RC vehicles, video is especially helpful for problems involving:
- Steering
- Motor operation
- Remote control connection
- Drivetrain
- Charging
- Electronic faults
Please do not dispose of the product, battery, packaging, or affected components until the claim has been reviewed.
10. Troubleshooting
Some issues can be resolved without replacing the product.
Before approving a warranty solution, our support team may ask you to perform reasonable troubleshooting steps, such as:
- Fully charging the battery
- Replacing remote controller batteries
- Re-pairing the controller and vehicle
- Checking power connections
- Inspecting wiring
- Removing debris from wheels or gears
- Confirming that the correct charger is being used
Following troubleshooting instructions helps us determine whether the issue is caused by a defect or another condition.
11. Warranty Solutions
If a product is confirmed to have an eligible warranty issue, the appropriate solution may include:
- Troubleshooting assistance
- Replacement parts
- Repair assistance
- Replacement of the affected component
- Product replacement
- Refund where appropriate
The solution will depend on the nature of the defect, product availability, and applicable consumer law.
Where a replacement part can reasonably resolve the issue, a full product replacement may not always be necessary.
12. Replacement Parts
Replacement part availability varies by RC model.
If damage is not covered by warranty, we may still be able to help you find a compatible replacement part.
When contacting us, please provide:
RC Model + Part Needed + Photo of the Damaged Area
This will help us identify the correct component.
13. Shipping for Warranty Claims
Do not return a product without first contacting RC ConTroll Support.
If a return is required, we will provide instructions.
Responsibility for shipping costs may depend on:
- The nature of the issue
- Whether the product is confirmed defective
- The customer’s location
- Applicable consumer protection laws
Unauthorized returns may cause delays in processing your claim.
14. Consumer Rights
This Warranty Policy does not limit any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer protection laws.
Where applicable law provides rights that are greater than those described in this policy, those legal rights will continue to apply.
